# Forum Policies/Processes

## Policies
### Organizing basic/moderator training
1. Forum Chair is the coordinator to organize trainer and trainings for new members as and when required

### Forum training fee
1. Every new member has to pay an additional SGD500 when first joining to fund their Forum Basic and Moderator training, this amount will be kept by the chapter

### Moderator training criteria
1. To attend moderator training
    - member must currently be in a forum
    - Member must have attended 6 forum sessions

## Processes
### Applying to join a forum
#### Forum briefing
1. Forum briefing must be conducted by only the Forum Chair, or someone he/she designates
2. Briefing slides are attached here: [forum-briefing.md](forum-briefing.md)
3. All members must be briefed OR trained before applying to join a forum

#### Method 1 (Most preferred)
1. Moderator of each forum can approach any member to check if they are interested in joining their forum

#### Method 2
1. Member ask Forum Chair to help search for a suitable forum
2. During the search, if member is approached to join a forum, they must cancel the search first before agreeing
3. Forum chair will check with moderators of each forum one at a time
4. Moderator of receptive forums will directly contact member to proceed further

#### Method 3
1. Forum Chair can appoint a moderator to form a forum for a group of new members
